I wanted to let you guys know of a very pleasant experience my son and I had at the Auburn, MA coin show last sunday July 13th. There were about 40 dealer tables set up at the show, and we found some interesting coins, among which a Connecticut Cent 1785, a 1807 Capped Bust Half (in VG+), a 5 $ 1853 half eagle in AU, and a IHC 1886 in AU also. I will post thse when we get home. Well, about half way thru the morning i realized i had lost the Rosa Americana 1722 penny (bought the previous week at the Dedham, MA show) and which i had brought with me to this show.......Looked everywhere, but it was not to be found, apparently it fell out of my pocket in the hustle. Needless to say i was pretty despondent, and was getting ready to leave when it occurred to me to ask the guard in attendance to let me know if the coin was ever found. A far shot i thought. Well, he immediately directed me to the show organizer. There i told my story again, and was amazed to see him reach into his pocket to produce the coin i had lost!! Apparently one of the dealers had found the coin and turned it in (I will mention him here - Schmidt's Coins of Agawam, MA). This was for me an incredible experience which saved our day! Something like that would be difficult to imagine happening in E.U, at least in my experience. We shall return to Germany with this very pleasant memory in our minds! Regards, Eduard
Man about the time I think everyone is a crook and out out to get me, I read a nice story like this. Thanks for sharing
Awesome, I'm glad you were able to retrieve your coin. I can't wait to see your purchases as you have a fine eye for quality pieces.
Eduard it was a pleasure to read this story, and itt just goes to show that there are honest people out there  Hope that you and your family have a safe flight back to this side of the pond
Yah, cant wait for some pics! Thats pretty awesome that he actually returned it, AND its even better that the guy that found it didn't just put it in his display!
