It’s definitely worn from circulation but I’ve seen worse so I’m very pleased to add this one to my Morgan Dollar collection. It’s an 1894 in good, maybe very good condition. No signs of an altered or removed mint mark. If memory serves me correctly this is the second lowest mintage of all Morgan Dollars minted for circulation. Only 110,000 were minted so not a lot of them to go around.

    Nice pickup!
Yeah, that was a tough one for me to find for my date set and one of only 2 coins in the set with a "details" grade (the other being the 95 lol) but as with other very expensive additions to my set they are "details" i can live with lol...

Sorry, but I am not 100% sure about that. There appears to a group of marks in the mint mark area.

I am not saying that the mint mark has been removed for sure, but those marks are in a bad spot.

If you can return it, I might consider it. The coin has been very harshly cleaned and only has Good sharpness.

It has a multi face scrape. Obvious in hand but the photos don’t show it clearly. Yes, it is in a bad place on the coin. The same type mark is also above the L in Dollar.

It looks to me I see the same type of marks to the left of the O in the word One.

Yes, those marks appear on the coin in a few places but only one spot is bad, where the mint mark is on this type of coin. This date is one that removed mint marks are well known due to the low mintage and higher prices.

I noticed the same thing. Maybe ask the seller for a refund if it doesn't pass.
