Well, I never thought I'd find one in change anywhere, but I did...
I was looking through my friends small a mount of change (they let me) and saw what appeared to be a very cruddy dime. But when I took a closer look it seemed to have Lincoln's profile (and was larger).

When I took a closer look I could indeed see the "ONE CENT" on the reverse and "1943" near the profile.

I had found a steel cent! :hail:

Here's a picture of how lousy it is (the reverse is worse)

That's a cool find. I haven't found a steel cent in a long, long time. They were fairly common in the '60s but seemed to disappear in the early '70s.

Woul\d you like the address of the company selling the bag in my poll? They might give you a decent price for it so they can restock.

yeah, I never expected to find one. But its understandable why this one managed to find its way back into circulation - because its so dirty, and people can't tell what it is, lol.
