This is on a manila folder with just cardboard inside to keep it stiff. Was this just made by an individual being creative with all of the Bicentennial stamps and included two 1976 Boston deuces? Does anyone have more information on this piece? I just picked it up in a coin shop outside of Boston. I thought it looked very unique and I can't find much much information on the web outside of the many single 1976 $2 notes that are FDC. EDIT: Please disregard the misspelling of DEUCES in the title!
A lot of people treated the 1976 $2 as a de facto commemorative of the bicentennial, and it was fairly common to put stamps on it and have them cancelled to mark the occasion. This looks like that taken to a higher level even, with many stamps from 1976 (including the state flag stamps of the original 13 colonies, Thomas Jefferson, and other stamps commemorating the bicentennial). An interesting piece of history, perhaps not all that rare or unique but still worth having.
