Hello everyone, I hope this doesn't turn into anything politically negative. I'm always praying for peace! Last year I met a young man who started visiting our congregation. He is smart, strong and hard working. He is Venezuelan and his dream is to become a police officer. I took the responsibility to represent him to become a US citizen. I even appeared before a judge to show my full support. He is doing very well. We spoke this morning on the current events in his country and he is absolutely thrilled! I dedicate this thread to him. Alexander Sanchez I thought of some coins and a note that I have collected over the years and have shown on CoinTalk. Mint Error Silver Coin Paper currency
Good on you for helping out a Venezuelan immigrant and nice silver coin up there as well! Years ago I was able to buy some Venezuelan gold tokens from the bay for great prices, here's one below.
Please. I stated that I hope nothing negative be mentioned. Let's respect each other's preferences Do you have any coins or currency to show?
I'm sorry, sometimes I just can't help myself. As for coins to show, yes but still in the learning process on how to put pics on threads. Probably will have to get my bride involved, she's the CTO in the family.
We've got an exiled Venezuelan musician here in town, Larry Bellorín. I think my wife's actually gotten to play with him once or twice. He was working construction to make ends meet, but I think he's making a go of it with music full-time now. He's applied for asylum, but with... <gestures helplessly all around>... his future's anything but clear. https://www.larryandjoe.com/about

A 5 Bolivares silver (.900) coin. Nice one. Venezuela had been minting coins like these in silver since 1873. Coins dated before 1925 are sought by collectors. After 1936 the composition changed from silver to nickel.
Here are the only ones in my collection that I have pictures of. The last one I actually sold a week ago or so. With the price of silver I wanted to dump a few coins that weren't especially meaningful to me.
