....Ok, not in a gambling sense. I spent the last few days hanging out in Vegas visiting some good friends, one of whom just so happens to work in a coin store there. I spent a lot of time in the store while he was working, and learned a lot....especially how frustrating it would make me to work there. How many people can possibly come in wanting hundreds for common silver dimes and quarters that grandma gave them? Don't ask.

Anyways, I was able to purchase some nice CBH's at dealer trade prices. Here are some pics:

    ....and a nice 1829:

Not that you can see from these pics, but the 1814 is actually the E over A in STATES variety.

I also found a nice old IHC book from 1958 that had never been used as far as I can tell. Picked that up for $2.

It was a lot of fun hanging out in a coin store for a few days, and even though my wife still doesn't believe it, I didn't even spend a ton of money. Actually, they put me right to work!

Every time I see a CBH posted here it makes me want one more and more.
I guess I might have a goal for the next coin show.

Thanks. The rainbow coloring isn't on the coins, it's just something goofy my camera does for some reason. It deffinately pays to have a friend behind the scenes. I think I'm going to make that trip a monthly thing now. Besides coins, it's nice to just get away, even if getting away is an hour up the road with good friends.

Hey Guy...nice finds. I've recently developed an interest in CBHs'...have yet to score my first coin (it's coming, I can feel it). BTW, remember, what happens in 'Vegas stays in 'Vegas.

This was a much more admirable way to spend your money than gambling or frolicking at a "special ranch". Good choices, but I'm sure it took a lot of thought and will power. haha

Nah, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. I'll tell you.
