Hello, I have been sitting in here for some time now. Now I guess I need to jump in and ask a few questions if I may. I have a Vegas doller from the old Land Mark Casino I need help finding. Also I have a bag of 1972d penney's (90) count, and was woundering what they are worth? I am going to sell them as a lot. Thank you for any help, Jess
Well, about those 1972's, I'm happy to tell you they are worth something: 1 cent each unless in nice AU/BU/UNC.
Howdy Jess - Welcome to the Forum !! I'm not sure I understand the first part of your question. Are you asking for a value of the casino token - or are you asking how you can find one ? As for the bag of cents, I haven't heard of a 90 count bag - is it from the mint or a bank ? Either way, I expect it would sell for less than $5.
to CoinTalk Jess. The Landmark opened in 1969 as Las Vegas' tallest building, and came crashing down in a planned implosion in 1995 to make room for a Convention Center parking lot. I was there shortly after it opened, and the view from the topside restaurant at night, with the strip lighted up, was magnificent. During much of its brief history all of the Vegas casinos routinely produced both clay chips of various denominations, and metal tokens for use in dollar slot machines. The latter became very minor profit centers, as they were frequently saved and taken home as souvenirs by gamblers. >>Here<< is a link to a chip collector's website where you can probably contact someone who could date and value your token for you.
