Below are some pictures of an extensive Kennedy Half Dollar collection that a nearby seller is selling. He is offering the collection at $250. I am great with looking up prices of Good, Fine, XF, etc but Proof coins confuse me with different numbered grades. Please look over his description below and let me know if you think it's a fair price. Thanks for any and all help.

47 KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR PROOFS, 1964 THRU 1967, 1968-2011 S-MINTS, HAND PICKED AND BEAUTIFUL. STATE QUARTER COMM. TRI-FOLD HOLDER WITH ALL QUARTERS INCLUDED. APROX. 50 MORE QUARTERS FROM THE PARKS AND AMERICAN TERRITORIES, 6 PAINTED STATE QUARTERS, 2000 PROOF SET W/ QUARTERS, 2002 PROOF SET W/ QUARTERS, HALF A DOZEN OTHER KENNEDY HALVES-(GEM CAMEOS, PROOFS, ETC) the only silver are the1964 thru 1970. all these coins were painstakingly hand picked and would be a nice addition to any collection. i paid over $400.00 easily and asking $250.00 firm. over 100 coins

Do you know if the type 2 proofs are there for 1979 and 1981?

Unless they're are a lot of proof silver kennedy's, I don't think it would be worth $250. I'd give $2 each on the non silver proofs, and 5 each for the silver proofs.

These are the only 1979-S and 1981-S coins he has. What do you think? Type I or II? Click to zoom in.

$250 for 64-2011 Kennedy proofs, not bad really. I have a source that has 68-2012, 45 coins, for $235, and the 64 proof is around $20-$25 so $250 seems fair.

However, from looking at the ad, you're also getting a couple of proof sets, and state quarter sets, so all in all not a bad price for all of that.

Okay, I don't need all that he's offering so I asked him to price 24 S-mint proof coins ranging from 1964-1987 (24 coins total). He asked $100. Fair?

The Mint didn't strike any proof coins for 1965-1967. Instead, they produced the Special Mint Sets.

Yes sorry...the offer was for 1964-1967 Halves from Special Mint Sets as well as 1968-S to 1987-S proof halves. Would $100 be a good deal?

64 SMS? Check on this. It is probably a normal proof. I won't say yes or no to the price because I have no idea how they would grade.

The 64 is a normal proof.

65-67 are SMS, but those you have to be careful they're not just ordinary business strikes.

    68-87 proof halves, for $100, I would offer less than a $100.

    My offer would be $65-$72.50.
