    Hello to all here.

I have a few gold sovereigns and half sovereigns that have been handed down from my Grandmother in Pakistan.

I was wondering if any of them are quite rare, I believe it depends on the year and the mint in question. These are the coins I have:

    Sovereigns:

    Year Quantity Mint

    1911 3 London
    1911 1 Perth
    1912 1 London
    1912 1 Sydney
    1913 2 London
    1915 4 London
    1917 1 Perth
    1918 4 London
    1918 1 Bombay
    1919 2 London
    1919 1 Perth
    1921 1 Perth
    1925 1 South Africa
    1927 1 South Africa
    1928 1 South Africa
    1930 2 South Africa
    1958 1 London

    Half Sovereigns:

    Year Quantity Mint

    1911 2 London
    1912 2 London

I am in London, UK and I can take them along somewhere for a valuation.

Here is one of the coins.

To be completely honest I'm having some issues with the coin you posted. It looks like it might be a counterfiet.... not the end of the world because they still made these out of gold... but It doesn't look genuine to me at least. It could also be the pictures, but the fields sure look grainy to me. Lets let some others who know more then I do about them chime in.

I'm inclined to agree with LostDutchman.

And johnl - next time you upload pics to the forum, forget about the url link you used on these pics. Next time, the entire post will be deleted instead of just being edited.

Will take some pictures of some of the other coins - and use a different host.

1917 Perth is a scarcity, so that should be worth slightly more. However, 1918 and 1919 London mint sovs are non-existant, so you've either made a mistake or you have a few fakes on your hands. I won't comment about the one in the photos because its difficult to tell conclusively from a photo unless it is a screamingly obvious fake...
