3-21-12 017.jpg I have recently inherited a coin collection and am try to learn all about coins. These coins showed here are ones I have no idea if they have value. Is it expensive to take them and other coins to be evaluated and who would I take them to. All the coins have been a safe box since 1995, and earlier coins haven't seen the light of day since the 1960's. Thank you for any info I will appreciate very much...micro! (I can take seperate pictures if need be)

The Kennedy Half Dollar is 90% silver and is worth its silver content (which is $11.63 today). The Liberty Nickel is damaged but might be worth a dollar or two to the right buyer. The rest of the coins are pocket change.

No need to get the evaluated you can do that here!
Right away the half dollar catches my eye as it is 90% silver here is its value in silver now http://www.coinflation.com/coins/1964-Silver-Kennedy-Half-Dollar-Value.html
I would think it would be for the silver because of the metal on the front.
The other coins I don`t think would be worth too much but I`m no expert.
    Hope this helps

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

There is no need for me to add anything to what has already been said other than I would like to see some of the coins that "haven't seen the light of day since the 60's". It would be helpful if you would take photos of each of the "60's" coins separately, showing both the obverse and reverse.

I will have to work on taking the pics, have around 7 kennedy half dollars, 6 morgan silver dollars, 7 morgan peace dollars, walking libertys and I am in the process of cataloging all the rest. These are my favorites and range the 1880's to 1960's.

Sounds good, but Morgan and Peace dollars are two separate animals.
