Vandals? Interesting AE4, Figure in wreath?

    Got this in a medium-sized lot of mostly barbarous/germanic coins; only one that has me stumped.

    Vandals?
    AE4, 9mm, 0.75g
    Diademed bust right, pseudo-legend, star before bust?
    Humanoid figure in wreath? Possibly emperor holding spear over shoulder?

    Checked Wroth; didn't see anything similar. Closest I can think of is Zeno with Victory dragging captive in wreath, but style is far too crude. Perhaps an unpublished type?

    Sure looks Vandalic, I can see why you looked there. If not, it definitely looks like Limes, but maybe check Lombards, Merovingian, etc.

    Based on the patina, it is almost certainly Vandal, as the patina also matches a couple definitely Vandal coins, probably from the same hoard.
