I put three late AE4s on eBay at low opening bids, far below typical retail. Here is your chance to pick up 5th-6th century pieces at bargain prices. maybe no one else will bid and you will steal the coin. http://www.ebay.com/sch/augustus1/m.html?item=332053371710 One is a Justinian AE4 from Carthage with chi-rho type. One is a Valentinian III VICTORIA AE4, and one is a Vandal type with the monogram of Gelimer, 530-533 AD. This Justinian is a bit darker (and clearer) than the photo, which has the head titled to 1:00. My photography error. The Gelimer monogram is clear. The Valentinian II has excellent surfaces and some of each letter in his name is visible, which makes this one better than most. Please compare to the (expensive) examples on your favorite fixed-price site.
