Does anybody know if this is VAM-2F (Hairpin). I noticed the die crack on the neck and knew that was an indicator, but I am not an authority on VAMs so I was wondering. If you do know, how much do you think it is worth in MS62?

That "mark" across the neck looks a bit peculiar.
    And I'm seeing "marks" elsewhere.
Look between the "R" and "T".
And at the bridge of nose.
And in the rays just to right of the base of the "B".
And in front of the mouth.

    I'm thinking die clash.

Of course this may be of no help in determining the VAM.
But it makes and interesting coin.

Sorry, the man, I don't collect silver dollars and don't know much about VAMs. I'm sure someone here will be able to identify your VAM.

    kanga,

A die clash will appear on the fields, not the devices. (The devices are lower than the fields on the dies.) The mark across the neck looks a lot like a scratch to me. Maybe the OP can check to see if the mark is raised or below the coin's surface. That will give us a clue as to whether the mark is a die crack (raised) or a scratch (incuse).

    Agreed.
I shouldn't have included that mark in with the potential die clash list.
