bigjpst, there are two Web sites that are of value in this regard:

    http://www.vamworld.com/

    and

    http://vamsandmore.com/shop/home.php

You can also check CoinValues (Trends) magazine, which list values for certain classes of VAMs including, for example, the 1882-O/S varieties and the 1900-O/CC varieties. However, be advised that within these "buckets," some varieties may be more valuable than others.

Also, if Morgan prices in general are down with the soft market, specialty VAM prices are down perhaps even more. The chance that yours is particularly valuable is infinitesimal.

That particular VAM ( 1900P VAM 8) doesn't appear to be on the top 100, Hot 50, or Hit List 40, and so there would probably be minimum to no extra value.

http://www.vamworld.com/SSDC does seem to put out value guides on VAMs , but you have to join to receive it.

Jim's got it right, the SSDC puts out an update on the VAM market. For your coin VAM 8 is an I-2 R-3 so there isn't really going to be a premium.

Just as a side note though, there are some VAMs that aren't on any of the lists (100, 50, 40) that bring big premiums. The 1878 P 8tf VAM 14.8 is just one example.
