Does anyone know where to find one? If they are being graded by the top PCGS, Anacs, ect. , why are they not posting a price guide?
I think there's too little total turnover to accurately estimate pricing. A few of the most commonly-sold ones appear in the Greysheet and elsewhere. Demand is still minimal, because relatively few are actively collecting VAMs. I suspect that Van Allen and Mallis never really expected their passion to take off like it has, yet by comparison to other areas of interest, people like you and I are few and far between. Heritage remains the best indicator of current pricing, because Ebay is too dependant on salesmanship and the size of that night's audience.
Dr. Fey (Top 100 author) publishes a price list for the Top 100 every quarter. You have to subscribe. He is tracking actual sales. Check his link. The new VAMview also tracks sales from multiple sources. They extend beyond the Top 100 set. It comes electronically. I think you can subscribe to get it separately... or join the SSDC (Society of Silver Dollar Collectors) and get it free with your membership. I also heard some of the CD's (like the Hot 50 Attribution CD) from John Baumgart have the current prices.
