I have a MS 64++/65 morgan that I think I have the VAM on. On the reverse, the VAM 12A die clash is in plain sight, I didn't even need to magnify. When I look on the Obverse, I don't think I can see the aligator eye, and I'm 60% sure I see slight doubling in LIBERTY. I also don't know what part or the hair on the obverse to look at for the die clash. Also what level of magnification is the best for finding VAM's?
IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER!!!!!!! I just found a HUGE die crack that goes all the way around the letters on the reverse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is a great day!!!!!!!!!
Ok seriously. This coin will make me pass out soon. THERE'S ANOTHER DIE CRACK AROUND THE LETTERS ON THE OBVERSE. Haven't really looked as to the extent of it but it looks pretty big. I'll post more in a second.
The obverse crack goes from the 3rd star on the left to the dot between E and PLURIBUS. Any ideas of value?
I looked more cosely at the obverse die crack and it actually goes to the L in PLURIBUS then starts again at the N in UNUM and goes to the second star after UNUM.
It also has the neck tick that VAM world says only sometimes happens on this VAM. I also just found out my MS63 1899-0 has normal o VAM- 2
