I noticed a die crack near the tail feather on my 1921 Morgan.....Is this significant for those of you up on this?

bobbeth, I believe the die crack on your 1921 Morgan is called Vam 3A reverse," Spiked Tail Feathers". It is rated R-5 on the rarity scale, which is considered rare(several thousand known) My book is the V.A.M book so it may be updated elsewhere. The rim ding at 10 o'clock(reverse) is pretty bad so I can't give you an estimate of value. Hope this helps...........................John

    Thanks!!!

Is that another one near the eye on the obverse?

Anyway, I'll check the site out. Anyone care to venture what the rim ding does to the value? I may be selling this piece....

What you may have in the obverse near the eye looks like a die gouge but not sure.JC
