I heard a story while in India years ago and also saw an old newspaper article about a rare coin that out of 5 left...they found 4 and one was missing. After that hundreds of duplicates were circulated. I saw one tonight on a site that someone was selling for $999,000.00 Anyone got any news on this? Inquiring minds want to know....
yeah its called the flights of fantasy. tell the inquiring minds that unless they have more info than that and or some pics no one will know and no indian coin is worth 1 million $ sorry
He says that he was in India, not tatthe con was Indian, and the vague detail of the story sounds very similar to the stories about the missing 1913 V nickel that had only four of the five pieces tracable for some thirty years until the fifth one turned up a few years ago. Sounds like that or a corupted version of it is probably what he is talking about. What about the 100 and 1000 mohur or Emperor Jahangir (1605-28)? The 1000 Muhur holds the record for the highest amount ever bid on a coin at auction. Even higher than that bid on the 1933 double eagle. It is truly the most valuable coin in the world.
