Can I get a ballpark figure...opinion on the value of these Chinese coins? Much appreciated.

The first coin has a written price of $35.00 and the second coin $40.00 :watching:

I probably should have stated that I believe this is what they were purchased for many MANY years ago by my stepfather who was a dealer and always got very good deals on his coins. I assume that over the years the prices may have changed.

I believe there are some members on here that are knowledgeable in Chinese numismatics. I would recommend posting in the world coin forum to get more eyes on it

I moved this to World Coins, just on the chance you'll get better odds of the right person seeing it.

The first coin is from the Ming dynasty, a 10 cash coin minted under emperor TianQi, the 16th emperor. Value would be around 35-40 dollars.

The second coin is from the Qing dynasty, a 50 cash coin minted under H'sien Feng, the 9th emperor. Value is around 90-100 dollars.

Both coins have decent eye appeal and nice surfaces, and the larger denomination coins are generally more desirable.
