    Hi All:

My dad has this large sized 1899 one dollar silver coin. On side of the coin is a female figure with trident on one hand and a shield with British emblem on the other hand.

On the other side of the coin there are encryptions on four languages. My guess is that these languages are Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and another language belonging to Arabic family.

My dad is curious to know which country this coin belongs to and how much it is worth? Can someone help me.

I have enclosed the scan of front and back of the coin.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards

I think these are typically worth 35-40 dollars.

It's a British Trade Dollar, made to circulate in the Far East.
