I'm not sure what I would pay but the $517 Heritage price is for a brown example not a red one. There is only one Red example that sold on Heritage and that was 14 years ago for $1265 in an NGC Slab.
There have been articles published in the coin mags and on-line. The fake ones do not have the stacking ridges on the corners is one identifier. This one does not appear to have them.
