I recently decided to make a gallery on the other forum I'm a member of, to organize and share the coins of my collection. Because it is still a work in progress, only a few of the coins have descriptions, so I apologize in advance (I will answer any questions about them you all may have, like what mint, obv/rev legends etc.). Most of my Roman collection has been posted already (still have a few left to post, but for now I won't be including the numerous really low grade common stuff), and my gallery also includes coins from other cultures. Thanks for looking and enjoy! :w8v4: http://www.coincommunity.org/gallery/index.php?cat=10510
Excellent work. Now I have a good idea what coins you have. Very nice collection. I'm going to take my time looking around but for now I have some coins to post. lol I myself, I am separating provincials but of course that is up to you. Later on I'm planning on collecting those coins by province instead of emperors as they are cataloged. Great coins!
It is an impressive collection. Shows some aggressive coin collecting. A very nice well rounded collection, you got Roman, Byzantine, Post Roman Europe and a slew of other ancient cultures. I once tried to make a gallery there but for some reason I could never get it to work. I think the full extent of my collection will remain a mystery. Needless to say its impressive.. If I were to choose my favorite coin... It would be the Theo of the the Ostrogoths you have there, awesome. My second favorite would be the crusty Carthage coin with the horse galloping. that coin has some excellent provenance. :hail: .
Wow, awesome lookin' effort my young-ancient friend!! => ummm, all you need now is a few Greeks!! :too-cool-for:
It's a lot of work to start and maintain one of these galleries. I know. I have two on line galleries I try to keep up with. Kudos to ya.:thumb:
Thanks for commenting! Good choice I have plenty of favorite coins but this one and my Libius Severus are my ultimate favorites.
