Utah Quarter Design Selected

    Thats kind of a plain design. I'm not wow'd by it. Of course I guess it is better then a picture of one man with six wives.

    trains

    I like the design, but I think more realistic looking trains would be better. The look like drawings out of a coloring book.;)
    I really like the realism of the horses on the Nevada Quarter, very good artwork imo.

    I thought it would feature a picture of Doug.That would beat two trains bumping noses in my opinion.;)

    It's really cool, but I thought it might have a different design.
    It's my favorite! (Next to New York)...

    For your information, that is exactly what the trains in that era looked like. So to be authentic, it had to be shown this way.
    In that respect, I'm with Mikjo on this one and would agree that a likeness of Doug would have been better.

    We also have to remember that the statehood quarters were supposed to show something of each state's history. Without getting into what is often complicated and controversial LDS history, they choose something significant. Good job, Utahns!
