Penny... whats a penny??? Is that a one cent piece??? Sorry..lol... Somebody was bound to say something. Many around here hold the opinion that pennies doin't exist, only one cent pieces. Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you find the folks around here friendly and informative. Post a pic, we'd be happy to help!

well we can't give you a good price without the pictures. my dealer said he buys 1919 cents for 3-4 cents, if they are in good condition. if there uncirculated, there worth more. he also said he buys 1920's for the same price. he gave me a price guide of what he pays for coins.

If you bought them, you know the price...I don't get it. Welcome to the forum.. Go out and buy a Red Book "Guide Book of U.S. Coins" at Borders or Barnes & Noble About $17.00 That will tell you what you need to know.

from the Coin Value Guide from Coins magazine, May 2007 issue.

    Year - G-4, VG-8, F-12,VF-20, XF-40, AU-50, MS-60

    1919 - 0.30, 0.40, 0.50, 0.80, 1.75, 4.25, 8.00
    1920 - 0.35, .040, 0.90, 1.50, 2.80, 7.00, 13.50

the condition really makes a difference as you can see. the hard part is piece together what the grades for the coins might be. it's fairly easy to grade Lincoln cents - post a picture of the coins and you'll know within a few minutes what they might be worth - the real worth is whatever someone actually pays ;)

don't buy a Red Book for the $14.95 cover price, you should be able to get it from a coin shop for less.

like i have said before, buy it at walmart. it is only $8.88 a copy. if they do not have it in stock, order it off the website. either way, your saving money.

It's funny. I'll go into a bank and ask for ten rolls of cents, and teller'll go, huh? Never fails. I think part of the misunderstanding may be due to these N. F. String & Son wrappers they're rolled in, which, if you ever noticed, just so happen to say PENNIES on them!

Without seeing it or listing a grade we can't tell you the value but given the common dates I'd say you won't be going into early retirement anytime soon.

It all depends, which has been said lol. We need to know what condition they are in. Could you post some pics? And I am afraid to ask, how much did you pay for them? Welcome BTW, and have fun!

Welcome to CT! Could you post some pics? That's the only way for us to tell what they'd be worth.

The 2008 hardcover edition has a suggested retail of $16.95 and in my experience most coin shops charge the full retail price. Your best bet is Amazon or do what I did and buy it from Borders with one of their 30% OFF coupons!

well, they might sign up at 20 different sites just to odds someone will answer... not all sites are as friendly as this one - i mean, this site people go out of thier way to help/offer opinions and such :)
