Can anyone point me in the direction of determining values for these notes? Someone has asked me to help sell them and I don’t know my way around with them.
There are some good notes in this batch. Some would say to invest in a currency guidebook for value, which you can do, but a fairly quick and easy way to start assessing value is to simply go on eBay and check the sold listings of similar notes. Don't go by just one or two sold listings but look at a page of them to get an idea of average value.
Nice collection! Especially the "Emergency Notes" and the Confederate currency. Not to mention, the error note.
You are asking a lot from someone, especially with those photos. As @NOS said, tell your friend to buy a current guide book, and/or research them on "SOLD" items online.
