Either the 2007 Buffalo Proof coin has sold out or sales have been suspended again. Since gold hit an intra day price of $866 an once , either is possible. I'm sure there has been a rush on these coins for the past several days. You can bet the 2008 Buffalo proofs will cost a cool grand . The next crop of presidential wives will surely be higher again--further depressing the issue.
i so wanted to colect the wives coins. but with a deplorable value behind the US dollar, and gold doing nothing but go higher as the dollar gos lower ... not many average Joes can buy them. the only saving grace is dealers. If enough of them buy enough of the coins - some day far into the future, when the dollar climbs higher and gold retreats lower, the coins will be readily available and i 'might' be able to afford them heres to hope
