Hi all, I wanted to share pictures of the Philadelphia Mint tour but unfortunately they don't allow pictures to be taken inside The Mint was huge with a lot of machinery. The displays were interesting. But.. The other visitors were very annoying!
I also wanted to share my Sheraton Hotel souvenir fail. It states - LUCKY PENNY MADE IN PHILADELPHIA... But the Cent has a D Mint Mark!
That one turned out really nice, especially for a Zincoln! I ended up using a few BU wheats I still had laying around for the elongated cent machine at a state park I visit every summer. The Zincolns just didn't work out well for me.
I carry a roll of BU memorials and a roll of quarters in my kids' diaper bag for anytime we come across one
That's a good idea! Trust me, I felt somewhat bad using said wheats, especially since they were original red 1935s from an OBW, but we only live once and the wee ones were happy.
You're not alone, my friend.... just imagine what it must be like to be young today. And we thought we had it bad....
