In theory, the subscription should automatically order and ship whatever product you subscribed too. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the US Mint's subscription program. Is it reliable? Or is it like everything else the US Mint has done lately....subject to change, and subject to poor quality control.
I have been a AE, proof set and unc set subscriber for 3 years and have not had any problems so far. Knock on wood!
I currently have a subscription for Proof and Silver Proof sets. The Mint, in my case, has been very reliable and even e-mails me prior to their shipment in case there have been any changes. They also contact me once a year to have me go to their website to verify my credit card and address. So I would have to give them a '10' in my case.
Yeah, no problems here with the subscription system. I get e-mailed a week or so ahead of shipments, and the coins arrive when they say they will.
I used to use the Mint's subscription service - started when they first offered it. It worked fine for years. But when I decided to stop and wanted to cancel the subscriptions - now THAT took some doing !
I've used their subscription service and been very happy with it. Since I started using it, I've never been backordered or canceled on a product. I don't know if you get any higher priority but it seems that they can at least forecast some of the demand in advance, so maybe your order is accounted for when production/shipping occurs. Anyway, I like it.
I use it, I wish it were available for more products. It guarantees Ur getting what u want...+ Ur 1st to receive Ur orders. I got my ASE Proof b4 the release date!
Thanks for your input everyone. Much appreciated. I signed up when I bought my 2004 silver sets, so this is the first year it goes into effect for me. Thanks again.
