For those that buy rolls from the US Mint, do you keep them in the white box or take them out and store in another way? Fairly new to the game and any input is much appreciated.

I left mine in the white box..dont want to be dissappointed and see a lot of nicks and straches when I open the rolls.:desk:.

there are others that will open the rolls and put them in a plastic containers.

I tear the freakin' white box open quicker than you can say "jumpin' Jack flash". Just can't help myself.....:D

Very nice, Green18...I do the same...with the Prez dollars there is a blue roll box from the mint...what do you keep your quarter rolls in?

Blue roll box? News to me. Presidentials and "cents" as well as half's and quarters have always been contained (at least in my experience) within a "white" box.....

I have opened some white boxes and kept one or two sealed. Depends on the contents and my future intentions to resell or not.

Ya know, I did buy a couple of those 'blue boxes" for my proof sets. Way overpriced but they do indeed look fetching......:D

Laimbeer4452 I've only bought the Lincoln 2009 LP-1 to LP-4's in boxes for the grandkids. So I left them in their boxes
and sealed the in food saver ploypropylene selfmade evvelopes.(vacuumized them). The coins can't move and will last 50 years at least.

  11. If you are buying with the intent to sell and make a quick profit, then keep them sealed in their boxes. If you are buying for your collection, then open them up and enjoy. There are many that believe that the acid in the paper will react with the metal over time and tone the coins, so you may want to consider that in your method of storage. I have only bought very few of these and am willing to take that chance of toning. I sealed my LP1-4 rolls in nickel roll holders to accommodate the extra space of the mint wrappers. TC
