We are inventorying this estate of coins.
Among the thousands of coins, are two U.S Mint bags of 2006 "Westward Journey" Nickels.
    She we keep them sealed?
Or should we open them and inspect each coin for errors, mint grades, etc.?

Looks like $30-35 for the sealed bag on eBay. I would open them too look for high grades. Any 67 or 68 would get some good money plus any FS.

My 2006 bags are $50 face value. I've had them for 9 years, but to my knowledge, no major varieties or errors have ever been reported. I did search bags of the 2004 & 2005 P&D Westward Journey nickels, but most were in lower grades, 64-66, and there were none of interest.

Personally, I would leave them in the original Mint bags and let a potential buyer pay a premium hoping to find varieties or errors. I'd be surprised if there were any.
