I tried purchasing the Old SF Mint Proof and Unc $1 coins today on the mint website, and ofcourse it malfunctioned again when they open up the site to order new coins. The website kept giving me an error report. I phoned the mint and got right in with no problem. Just in case others are having the same problems using the website. Jim
Wow, only have to wait 4 months to get coin. That gives them time to buy gold and silver from South Africa, ship it etc.

hmm, I logged in at 12:15 twice. No problems for me. I could only afford the two silver.. $230 for $5 gold??, the $5 gold ASE is only $110.00 too much for my blood on either account.. BU or PR
Sounds like a better deal for the commemorative than the AGE. Remember the AGS $5 is a tenth of an oz of gold, the $5 commem is almost a quarter of an oz of gold. Almost two and a half times as much for less than twice the price (After you consider the $35 surcharge on the commem. With out the surchage the coin would have been $195 for .24 oz instead of $110 for .1 oz.)
