    i just found a lot of old coins in my grandmas house. i wanted to know if they were werth anything before i sell them for the face vale. i have bicentenial 1776-1976 dollars anf half dollars. any one know how much they are worth. i also have real mercury dimes. i also have real qurters. can any one help.

    Bicentennials are generally worth 25¢, 50¢ or $1 unless they are in astonishingly great condition - MS68+ on the Sheldon scale - or their bullion value if they contain silver.

    Mercury dimes are worth at least their bullion value, which is a nice multiple of face, and depending on the year, mint and grade, could be worth considerably more.

    If you mean pre-1965 quarters, read the previous sentence again, but substitute "Quarters" for "Mercury diims".
