I remember when Julian Leidman posted the news of the theft his collection around this time last year. An arrest has been made pursuant to it. I hope he recovers all of his loss. And the FBI makes an example out of whoever the culprit(s) turn out to be! http://www.northjersey.com/topstori...made_in_theft_of_rare_coins_in_Montville.html http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/coin_heist_jeweler_bust_dKdUALfVytQ5qJ7CBUV57O
Knowing Julian personally I hope that they make an example out of those crooks. He's a very nice man and a great asset to the hobby and it's a shame that someone did this.
Good to hear this news. Julian posted on NGC several months ago that the majority of his coins had been recovered, but they were waiting in limbo as evidence. I hope he gets them back soon, and that he gets justice. As for the jeweler, it says he was arrested for buying the coins. Did he know they were stolen? I don't think its a crime to buy stolen property if you are not aware it is stolen - as long as you do the right thing when you find out.
