http://mintnewsblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/2009-lincoln-coin-chronicles-set.html Since all coins in this set are available elsewhere I will pass. I never pay extra for packaging.
Thanks for the information. I believe this set will appeal to the causal collector. One who purchases a proof and mint set yearly and perhaps a silver eagle. The coin TV people and others will love to promote the 50,000 limited addition sold out at the mint. Personally I think this set will sell out as fast as the mint can take the orders. Lots of people have been waiting on this set to get their commemorative
from what i see in these special sets the mont comes out with... they usually add a little something extra to the set. Is it worth the price they ar easking, especially since everythign else is avaialble elsewherel like Danr mentioned? Dont know, i shall see if i pick one up or not...
I guess the question is how many of the 95% copper cents will be minted in total? And how available will they be in these other sets? If I can just get a set of all of the 95% copper cents together I would get just that, but who knows what availability will be on them. I will probably order a couple of these to see if I get one to put on fleabay.
Thanks for the update. If I understand correctly the high copper cents are also to be in the proof and silver proof sets. That would sound about right, I doubt the mint would only produce fifty-thousand of each of these coins. I am certainly not sure on this, if anyone knows the mint plan for sure let us know.
