10/07/07 - ARC Coin and Stamp Show at the Kansas City Clarion Hotel near Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums. They have a show there every 1st Sunday of the month. 10/13 and 10/14/07 - Show at the Lenexa Community Center in Lenexa, KS. Just southwest of K.C. 11/17 and 11/18/07 - Topeka Coin and Stamp Show at the downtown Ramada Hotel in Topeka. With the after school coin collectors group I am starting where I work, I am going to try to get parents involved as much as possible. What I would like is for the parents to be involved with taking their kids to these shows (if they can) and meeting up with me so they can get a first-hand look at what we do. It would be kind of fun to do it as a small pilgrimage or non-school sponsored field trip.
BTW: Is anyone in the area planning on going to any of these? If I am there with the group of kids from the club, it would be cool to have them meet someone with a specialty and give them some more information.
I am slightly over two hours away from the monthly ARC show, and have always wanted to check it out, but didn;t get around too it. Too bad I didn't know about it when I lived there!! How far from KC are you?
