Surprisingly odd coin out of a Savoca lot!

    AE20, 4.47g
    Head of Athena right
    Pegasus right, no legend

Definitely Corinthian in general scheme; that portrait doesn't look Greek however? Could be a Celtic copy of Corinth or Lokori?

It also has a remarkably smooth patina, but I don't think it's a modern fake?

    Appreciate any insights or thoughts!

    o_O hmmm.

Strange for sure. The face honestly looks like a bad fake, but I wouldn't know.

My guess would be modern, but stranger things have turned out to be genuine...
