this penny seems to be of a off metal, At first I thought it was corroded as it had a black carbon like coating on it. In some spots there was no black and the metal looked shiny like gold, I then started to explore and found that with a wooden pick i have I could chip some of the coating off. Then I decided to soak it in plain water for a bit and this made it easier to scrape off the black, I got a lot of it off but some I can't remove. I weighed it and the weight is 2.8 grams. Appreciate your opinions.
