Have any Ideas, until photo can be uploaded??? Deli ma: I found a 1959P cent in circulation..... half the thickness, half the weight, very light stampings on both sides, no "FG" visible on reverse and a slight visible (head only) of Lincoln is in the memorial. Appears to be in VG condition, not buffed, pressed nor ground down. If so, I believe the coin would have no stamping and would be larger in diameter?? Maybe it could be a stamping of bad sized blank???
Without a photo it's impossible to know for sure but I would guess a thin planchet. Would love to see it when you get a chance to upload a picture
It could have been struck on a rolled thin planchet, but there are numerous forms of post-mint damage that could also account for it. Pictures are a must.
