I was lucky enough to inherit this coin. I have no clue the meaning just what I have been told by my grandma. It was made in Alabama in the 1800, the family member (she was around 8-10 years old) father had died. Her uncle gave it to her. If she turned the coin where the letters and missed spelled Mary showed she could ride the train for free and she would also be protected. On the back is the family last name. It is gold, I think the letters around it mean fear not daughter of zion behold your king is coming. Other then that I am at a lost. If you have any information I would love to hear it. Thanks 1358.jpg GetAttachment (1).jpg

The picture is really too small to see, and we'd need to see both sides of the token.

My personal recommendation is to find a family/friend that belongs to a masonic temple and introduce them to the token and see what can be recalled from local knowledge.

    Treasure hunts are always fun!

I do not see anything Masonic or relating to Freemasonry on the coin.

It looks like a "love token" to me.

    :)
