    The surfaces of the obverse are altered, and the reverse image is poorly focused, so it's very difficult to answer your question. Despite the blurriness of the reverse image, the luster on that side looks more like that of a business trike than of a matte proof, but I reserve judgment until a better image is available.

    I had one [also 1916] that I thought could be a proof. I sent it to ANACS and it turned out to be a business strike MS-64. Some regular 1916 Lincolns were made very nice, the rims especially.

    I'm pretty sure they reworked the hub in 1916 , that's why so many great full strikes are seen i '16 and '17 . Put me in the no category as the rims don't look square enough .

    The rims don't look flat enough to me either, but I'm not a Lincoln collector.
