Unstruck obverse with a memorial reverse that’s magnetic

    Came across this coin the other day after receiving my change at the store. Is this even possible? It’s a penny with an unstruck obverse with a memorial reverse and is also magnetic.

    It's a copper shell with some steel blank placed into it. Probably some kind of magicians coin that got lost from a magician.

    It's not any kind of mint error.

    Judging from the copper rim in the first image, I'd say that the obverse has been cut away somehow. ~ Chris

    yup, someone with a lathe or milling machine bored out the coin and popped in a steel slug, i once bored out a nickel and a quarter on a milling machine, worked at a machine shop and needed to practice using a new machine and i got bored practicing on blank steel stock...
