unstamped dime

    dime is flat on both sides, I can see copper in the middle

    The composition of the dime is copper / nickel , so it can be seen like layers...

    It sounds like you have an unstruck dime planchet. If so, it's worth one or two dollars.

    I think a cent planchet (Sp?) sells for about $1-$2 each!
    I have seen dimes go for more...

    How did you find this thread? It looks to me that this thread is over 10 years old. @roonz hasn't been seen since 2 April 2005. @mikediamond is still out there. He might reply. Speaking of dimes, do you have a picture of yours you can post?

    Serious Mark? You might be experiencing electron difficulties in your future :D

    But I must comment on those old posts saying a blank is worth a couple bucks maybe. In that case the mint should be selling them out the back door or in the gift shop to cover the cost of the real money :)
