I already posted this bronze coin of Antoninus Pius. But only tonight that I noticed it was unpublished, while reviewing Wildwinds. The coin , struck in Antioch, has SC on reverse with the Greek letter Theta. They say the letter Theta is unpublished for Antoninus Pius. It weighs 8.5 g. Please try to give your opinions. Thank you.
Maybe a commemorative? The eighth letter of the Greek alphabet, Theta, was considered the symbol of death.
Similar Theta issue here...though perhaps not entirely the same(?): http://coinproject.com/coin_detail.php?coin=293940 http://www.coinproject.com/siteimages/142-Z1846LG.jpg
The similar shown coin seems to have a pellet or dot in circle. Note that my coin has also a pellet in circle on upper top of reverse.
