Im not a collector of foreign coins but this was in a lot of coins that I bought last year. It’s dated 1905 and labeled as Six Pence.
Am I correct that this is King Edward VII and it’s from Great Britton? It looks and feels silver to me. If it is I have no idea of it’s silver content. So any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

As they have pointed out, it's a British sixpence of King Edward VII, who was the eldest son of Queen Victoria.

As for silver content, it's sterling silver (92.5%).
UK coinage was 92.5% until 1920, when a run up in the price of silver from WW1 debts and inflation forced them to lower the silver content of coinage to 50%.
    Nice find!

That’s great! Even better than US silver coinage. Thanks.

Ah. So THAT'S why I see British Commonwealth coinage in .500 Ag.
    Thanks for the info.
