im sorry but i do not have a picture as i can not find my camera. i come across a tin full of coins after clearing out a friends house. after researching all of the coins theres been one i have not been able to find. as im new to all of this i dont have a clue about anything really. ill try to give the best description i can. first of all this is a silver coin about the same size as a english 5 pence coin. on one side it has a distinct lion holding a sword. i have seen this design on another coin on the web but my coins slightly different. the lion has what looks to be a fan behind it of some sort. there is a crown above the lion near the top of the coin. it has a reif going around the coin and below the lion is some foregion writing. it looks chinese or maybe even eyptian. on the other side there is what looks to be a number 1 in the centre. this side also has a reif on and a crown. it also has some foreign writing on again. i really want to know what this coin is and where its from. and even if its worth something. like i say im new so itll proberbly just be a worthless 1 pence from some country but i really am curious thanks :thumb: I HAVE FOUND AN ALMOST SAME VERSION OF THIS COIN BUT IN GOLD PLEASE OBSERVE THIS MAY WELL HELP YOU.
Sounds like a coin from Iran, they got a sword holding lion. I think there is one more country with a similar lion, can't remember now. I would bet it is 1 rial from the 1970s. If you can't make a picture, go to eBay, open "coins" category and search for "Iran". This way you might find exact coin you have. If you want real answers, get a photograph of your coin.
