I found two tokens in my backyard that have a picture of the statue of liberty on the front with no date and the words"liberty" and a small "hh" up top. on the back there is a eagle with its wings spread and the word freedom. i cant find any info on them and i would like to find out what they are.
    thanks ryan

They are stock video arcade tokens. Some arcades couldn't afford to buy their own tokens or opened their doors before their tokens were ready so the mint provided these for their use at a lower cost. "HH" is the mint mark.

"HH" is the Hoffman and Hoffman Mint by the way. There are likely varieties of the one you have pictured since tokens were made in batches and the dies discarded. If a token was reordered new dies would be cut and there would be small differences. The particular token pictured is actually a little tougher issue. There is pretty limited demand for the stock tokens though so they won't sell for much, though. These were probably made in the late-'80's or early-'90's.

I really hate to break this to you since they just happen to be relatively tough tokens. You can put together really huge and diverse amusement token collections for almost no cost because there are lots of traders and lots of tokens. The problem is that there is very little depth to the demand. Many collectors just don't want to pay more than some set amount like 25c or a dollar and they rarely want to stretch for stock tokens.

You never know what something will bring on eBay but these are better so could bring a dollar or two. More likely you'll have to sell them wholesale which is a few cents each.

Buying is a far better opportunity with video arcade tokens than selling.

I'm not sure if it is a coin, medal or token, but it has an interesting semi-octagonal shape. I'm sure that someone will come along who can help you.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

    You nailed it.

Aladdin's Castle was a chain of arcades and their tokens are extremely common even though they have been out of business for years.

ye. there was an aladdins castle a few miles away but it closed years ago. it was bought out by namco before it eventually closed.

It's a one ounce silver round, one of thousands of different designs put out by dozens of different firms over the years. It's just an oz of silver.
