Unknown African/Islamic coin

I need help identifying this coin. The side that appears to have the denomination looks a lot like a Sudanese coin I have, but the side with the lion is different. I think it's probably African but that's as good as I've been able to do.

Looks like an Iran 50 Rials coin, seems to have toned more like copper than bronze!

It is iran 50 dinars ( half of rial) - 1953

 

Persia or Iran 50 Dinars.
The date to me looks like AH 1322 which would be AD 1944.
My catalog says that some were copper and some were bronze.
