Was recently was watching an online auction and this 1879-S Morgan came up. It's a 3rd reverve.
I'd seen maybe one other in my life graded by this group. Doing some research, Numismatic Certification Institute was only around a short time, this one graded in 1987.
Information shows it closed when PCGS started
Anyone else have one and can add to the information?
I also looked up the person who sent it for grading and came up with nothing.

I did have one but it was all sealed up in one single ply-o-film pouch. I bought it back in the late 1980's when everyone was talking about this new professional coin grading thing. I wanted a graded coin and that's what I found.... After forty years the big pouch was really getting on my nerves and I finally made the decision to cut it loose at FUN this year. The one I had was hugely over-graded.
