unique big chinese? coin.

    Hi i recently received this huge coin looks chinese to me if anybody has any info on its origin or value i would really appreciate it

    It appears to me to be a Cast replica of "something". Not sure what, though. The Chinese make Fraudulent Copies of almost EVERY valuable coin - from U.S. Trade Dollars to other Chinese Coins.

    This looks like a copy of a Korean "horse warrant" token. (Korea used Chinese written characters for most of its history.) These (well, the originals, anyway) were used in Imperial Korea by government officials traveling the countryside; they could be used to requisition one, two, or three horses from government stables, depending on how important the official was. Your piece copies the three-horse type, which would have been used only by very important officials. Almost all the original pieces I can find illustrated have a loop at the top.
