Hi all, I accidently found one silver medal (1974 Pakistan, Moenjodaro) online and purchased it. It is from UNESCO World Heritage Series and then I researched it online, so i will share in this thread whatever i found on this series and would really appreciate if some one have more knowledge or resources on it to share it here. UNESCO started this series in 1974 on notable monuments and heritage sites to create awareness among public and generate funds to be used in preservation of these sites. So far UNESCO have issued these medals sets for 20 (or more) different countries/ heritage sites, details on year of issue, country and heritage site shown below in a screen shot from UNESCO Website. Additionally during my quest to gain more information on this medal, i realized that they were issued in Bronze, Silver and Gold, so i purchased the Gold issue and Bronze issue of same medal to complete my set, pics shown below. Specs on different type are given below but i don't have any knowledge on the purity levels of these medals and total mintage. 1. Bronze Medal, 58 mm and 2 Oz 2. Silver Medal, 40 mm and 1 Oz 3. Gold Medal, 25 mm and 7.5 gm If any one have detailed information on this set and its mintage or any other set of medals issued under this series, kindly share it as i couldn't find much on this series. Thanks
Here is a silver that sold on a French website. They mention the purity as 100% (seems a bit unusual but possible) and the weight as 25.39 grams. https://www.cgbfr.com/monuments-et-histoire-medaille-mohenjo-daro-pakistan-ttb,fme_676115,a.html Besides this, I'm also not finding any information.
